GREGIO

Studying abroad in Greece this past summer gave me the opportunity to experience brand strategy in an entirely new cultural context. From working with a Greek jewelry brand and immersing myself in consumer research to building the Erwin Centers’ social media presence, I learned to approach marketing with curiosity, adaptability, and a consumer-first mindset. Beyond the work, living in Athens pushed me outside my comfort zone and gave me a global perspective that I’ll carry into every experience that comes next. So, consider this your permission to read my mail. Here are a couple of letters I sent home!

Nature’s Spirit by Greek Designers

Dear consumer,

Turns out, you really are the most important person in the room. Every decision we made, insight we uncovered, and idea we developed started with you. Without getting to know you inside and out, our campaign wouldn’t have been nearly as strong. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Working with Greek jewelry brand GREGIO taught me that the best strategy doesn't start in a brainstorm. It starts by listening, observing, and asking questions.

Through store intercepts, interviews, cultural research, and audience analysis, our team got to know GREGIO's consumer until our strategy had an immovable foundation of who we were targeting.

That insight then became an AI-powered interactive quiz designed to personalize product discovery and strengthen recognition of the GREGIO brand.

Dear Inactive Erwin Center Instagram account,

Challenge accepted! As the Erwin Center Social Media Marketing Intern for the Erwin Center Abroad's inaugural year, I had no previous strategy to inherit.

So I built one around three goals:

1) Create consistency among posts for

2)Build an identity

3)Find our audience.

Within the two months I had control of this account, I raised engagement to nearly 30K monthly views on average, with 57–58% of reach coming from non-followers. This expanded our reach beyond existing followers and, most importantly, connected the program with prospective applicants.

All the best,

Sarah Hudak
